ksharkarma is an important part of ayurvedic surgery. In our text kshar used for both external and internally I.e Panieye and Pratisarniye kshar.

Kshar used outside body in 2 ways, for simple application and along with a thread which is known as khsarsutra used for various disease for cutting and curative purpose.
